Full Text: Hi! I'm Katherine Pendleton, MSN, RN, the newly appointed Chair for the Tennessee Nurses Political Action Committee (TN-PAC). I worked with Sharon Adkins and Wilhelmina Davis during the legislative session this spring as an intern while finishing requirements for a doctor of nursing practice (DNP) degree in nursing administration from Samford University. I have been a TNA member since 2004 and have served on the TN-PAC Committee since 2009.

I have learned firsthand the importance of strong ties between an organization such as TNA and legislators. With the newly drawn districts this year, the legislative races during the primary in August and the general election in November will be pivotal in electing legislators who will be receptive to working with TNA for the purpose of establishing public policy that will positively impact health care outcomes in Tennessee. My goal as the TN-PAC Committee Chair is of course to raise money! In order to make an impact in the legislature, we must have a viable TN-PAC account. We need your help via donations to TN-PAC which can be made securely online by visiting the TNA website at and clicking the link on the home page. Please help us make a difference in the lives of Tennesseans by donating generously. Thank you for your help!
