Full Text: William A. Robinson III was recently appointed executive director of the National Accreditation Council for Blind and Low Vision Services, the accrediting body of organizations serving blind and visually impaired persons in the United States. In July 2012, Mr. Robinson will replace Steven K. Hegedeos, who is retiring as executive director after more than 10 years of service. Mr. Robinson is a business consultant and wealth advisor based in Chattanooga, Tennessee, who has spent the past three years as director of the council's Board. During his term as a Board member, he served as treasurer, on-site accreditation reviewer, chair of the Development Committee, and member of the Executive Committee. In addition, Mr. Robinson is the former chief financial officer of National Linen Service.
