NZNO's membership was close to 46,000 at September 30 last
year. It stood at 45,957, increase of 264 on the previous month. For the
year to September 30, 2011; income was ahead of budget by $21,859 and
expenditure was ahead Of budget by $27,070.
Since March 2004 to September 30, 2011, the number of registered nurse members had increased from 24,048 to 32,266; the number of caregivers had increased from 3620 to 5717 and the number of students had increased from 2656 to 4080. Over the same time, enrolled nurse numbers had decreased from 2261 to 1944 and midwife members from 1055 to 696.
