The flora describes 540 genera in 127 vascular plant families (pteridophytes, gymnosperms, and angiosperms). For each family there is a key to the genera then a brief morphological description of each genus. Each genus is illustrated by a black and white line-drawing. Within the Bromeliaceae, six genera are described: Greigia, Guzmania, Pitcairnia, Puya, Racinaea, and Tillandsia. |
