Full Text: In June 2010, the Missouri Dental Board passed a new role for dental assistants. By Fall 2011, all expanded functions certificates will need to be turned into the board for permits and revised expanded functions will be allowable. In Fall 2011, continuing education will be required for dental assistants holding permits. The board has been working towards these changes for the past three years.
