The sentence reads, 'There are three types of dehydration associated with diarrhoea; isotonic dehydration (fluid and salts lost in equivalent proportions), hypertonic dehydration (more fluids than salts lost) and hypertonic dehydration (more salts than fluids lost) (Gracey 1999).'
