Freedom Scientific recently released a new version of its screen
reader: JAWS for Windows Version 11. The new features of Version 11
include Research It, a tool designed to allow users to quickly find
information on the Internet while performing other tasks; Word Index,
which generates a list of words that appear in a document that can be
sorted by occurrence, by concept, or alphabetically; a DAISY player for
Digital Talking Books; and enhancements designed specifically for
Windows 7, the newest Microsoft operating system. Standard and
professional versions of JAWS Version 11 are available for a cost of
