I can't believe how quickly the summer has flown, but here we
are, two months away from the ADAA Annual Session in Las Vegas. If you
haven't registered yet, go to page 36 and check out the
Journal's latest update on what Annual Session has to offer you.
For a complete guide to ADAA-related session events and education, go to
our website at www.dentalassistant.org and download our preliminary
guide, including course descriptions, governance and other events. You
can also go to ada.org/session for registration, housing and travel
information. Please note that information is subject to change without
notice. Annual Session is a great way to expand your professional knowledge base and network with other dental assisting professionals, all of which will help you grow your career. In this issue's President's Letter, ADAA President Natalie Kaweckyj outlines the importance of attending events like Annual Session in furthering one's dental assisting career. Also discussing the importance of education and career enhancement is U.S. Army DENCOM commander, COL Priscilla Hamilton. Be sure to read the Journal's in-depth interview with COL Hamilton as she discusses the inner workings of the U.S. Army DENCOM and the importance of professional growth in one's dental assisting career. Speaking of education, the Journal is proud to feature the first ever three-credit CE course in this issue, which is FREE to full active ADAA members. This course examines the effects of soda pop consumption on oral health. Don't let this opportunity to take advantage of ADAA's excellent continuing education pass you by. The deadline for submitting tests for grading is September 30, 2011. Stay cool, everyone, there's still a few weeks left of summer! |
